About

Modern architecture is increasingly bringing steel and glass materials to the fore. Building with steel is durable, environmentally sound and sustainable. Today architects are developing architecturally pioneering buildings using Calvi Network special steel profiles. The corrosion resistance, long lifespan and extreme stability of steel shapes open up broad windows of design opportunities for lasting solutions which can meet very tight technical requirements as well as aesthetic criteria.

Case History

In 2012, Calvi Network was committed to design and produce some core elements of the supporting structure of a brand new shopping mall in 268 Orchard Road, Singapore. The complex structure of the mall is made of glass and steel and develops itself on several staggered blocks.
The Network manufactured 3 different shapes which had to be flawless and perfectly linear: any single profile got through stretching, straightening and detwisting steps.
The surface too had to be perfect with no abrasion or scraping signs: the packing was therefore very important and each single profile was prepared with paper and adhesive film.
